Honor guards at Minsk World
The CITIC Minsk World theme park will hold a military honor guard festival during the weeklong National Day holiday. Performers will stage honor guard marches from China, the United States, Britain and Russia. A female honor guard team will make its debut, and a gala show will feature Cossacks.

Ukrainian folk culture week at Window of the World
The Ukraine Bavirski folk dancing troupe will perform at the miniature Ukraine town at the Window of the World theme park during the National Day holiday.
Visitors can join the performers in flowery scarves and checked skirts. They can also taste authentic Ukrainian food and drink, including Kiev meat cake, duck stuffed with fruit, borscht and vodka.

Farm games at Evergreen Resort
Guests at Evergreen Resort over the holidays will have the chance to compete in games inspired by rural life.
Transporting hay and three-legged races are part of the schedule. As part of the fall harvest season, visitors can pick melons and pumpkins.
They can also join staff members in making traditional Chinese handicrafts.

Ice park opening in Shenzhen Safari Park
An ice park combining activities and sculpture will open Oct. 1 at Shenzhen Safari Park. Kept at a comfortable 20 degrees Celsius, the 500-square-meter ice park includes ice slides, ice sculptures, bowling, golf and target practice.
Newly arrived penguins from South America will join the Safari Park elephants, tigers, lions, birds, tiglons and ligers.

Sand sculpture at Dameisha
Thirty giant sculptures are being built along the Dameisha beach during the Dameisha International Sand Sculpture Festival through Dec. 24.
Since some factories only take three-day holidays, the beaches are expected to be most crowded the first three days of the holiday. Beachgoers are advised to go later in the week.

New adventure game, magic festival at Happy Valley
A new adventure game where visitors play the role of archaeologists and explore an ancient site will open Oct. 1. The game features four sections where adventurers can get tips from a giant glass jar, visit an archaeological dig, and encounter a world of beasts, monsters and ghosts.
At the same time, more than 30 magicians from seven nations and regions will perform at the Seventh International Magic Festival during the weeklong holiday.
The program includes evening parades and daytime and evening street magic shows, where visitors can try the tricks themselves.
