Shenzhen Airlines yesterday opened an air route between Shenzhen and Ho Chi Minh City, the biggest city in Vietnam.
The flight departs Shenzhen every Monday, Wednesday and Saturday. The departure time is 7:50 p.m. and arrival time is 9:10 p.m. The flight departs Ho Chi Minh every Tuesday, Thursday and Sunday at 8 a.m., and arrives in Shenzhen at 11:20 a.m.
Ho Chi Minh City is one of the oldest cities and a major tourist attraction in Vietnam. It's the cultural and economic center of the country. With many French style constructions, it's called "Le Petit Paris."
The Shenzhen-Ho Chi Minh route is Shenzhen Airlines' third international air route from Shenzhen. The other two go to Kuala Lumpur and Seoul.
Shenzhen Airlines, which currently owns 32 aircraft, plans to increase its aircraft fllet from 60 to 70 within three years and to 100 within six years. It plans to have 160 aircraft by the year 2015 and become a first-class carrier on the international level.
