A company handing out free condoms were swamped by takers outside a shopping mall in Guangzhou, reports the Information Times.

And after the first batch of 30,000 was gone, throngs of people lined up patiently to wait for the next.

A company spokesman said they had intended to hand out 100,000 condoms in all, but had not expected to have distributed so many in such a short space of time.

He was also pleased to see how attitudes towards condoms were changing. In the past people would have been too shy to buy or accept condoms so publicly.
