New Shenzhen Convention and Exhibition Center
The 6th China Hi-Tech Fair, held on October 12th to 17th, 2004 in Shenzhen, south China Guangdong province, sees a chain of record-breaking data, such as exhibition area coverage and attending delegation.
The exhibition will be held in the new Shenzhen Convention and Exhibition Center and the old China Hi-Tech Fair Exhibition Center, with a total exhibition area of 135,500 square meters, largest in its history.
All the 36 provinces, municipalities and autonomous regions as well as Hong Kong, Macao SARs and Taiwan will send delegations to the fair.
Government delegations of 21 foreign countries, including Canada, France, Italy, Russia and the United States, take an exhibition area of 1,800 square meters. And 44 transnational corporations will attend the exhibition. The foreign corporations will take more than a quarter of the special exhibition area.
Seven science ministers will address the ministers’ forum; besides, ministerial officials from Thailand, Burma, Saudi Arabia, Brazil, Pakistan and Austria will also attend the forum.
Some 31 well-known Chinese universities will also attend the fair.
