Rain Water               February 19 ~ March 4

Startle Hibernator (Awakening of Insects)         March 5 ~ March 20
It is the third solar term of spring. The thunder rolls, and animals and insects are awakening from hibernation.

Spring Equinox (Vernal Equinox)              March 21 ~ April 4
It is the fourth solar term of spring. On the first day of Spring Equinox the Sun rises exactly in the east, travels through the sky for 12 hours and sets exactly in the west. After the Spring Equinox, in the northern hemisphere, the Sun still continues to follow a higher and higher path through the sky, with the days growing longer and longer, until it reaches it highest point in the sky on the Summer Solstice. In the southern hemisphere, spring and autumnal equinoxes are exchanged.

Clear and Bright              April 5 ~ April 19
It is the fifth solar term of spring. It gets warmer, flowers are in bloom, all plants grow. In this period, there is plenty of rain, after which there is a clear and bright world. It is the time for tending graves.

Grain Rain              April 20 ~ May 5
It is the last solar term of spring. Peasants finished transplanting rice shoots in Qing Ming. In Grain Rain period, lots of rain in all over China will help grain growth.
