Train passengers will no longer have to fill out health declaration forms starting from Sunday, according to railway authorities.
With the demise of SARS, passengers will also no longer have their body temperatures checked at the exits of railway stations, according to the Railway Ministry.
However, passengers still have to take body temperature checks at railway station entrances. If the body temperature of a passenger is higher than 37.5 degrees Celsius, he or she will not be allowed to board the train, unless they can produce a medical certificate clearing them of the possibility of having SARS.
Meanwhile, health declarations are still required for passengers on cross-border trains and railway stations receiving cross-border trains.
Temperature checks and health declarations were imposed on all train passengers in April as a precaution against spreading SARS.
