Light-up ceremony
Well-prepared and highly-expected, the Pan-Pearl River Delta (PPRD) Regional Cooperation and Development Forum kicks off successfully in Hong Kong Exhibition Center today (June 1st).
The forum, hosted by Donald Tsang, Chief Secretary for Administration of the HKSAR government, marks the start-off of further cooperation within the PPRD region, which is expected to promote the implementation of CEPA and to speedup the cooperation of China-ASEAN free trade zone.
Tung Chee Hwa, Chief Executive of the HKSAR and Zhang Dejiang, Secretary of the CPC Committee of Guangdong Province is to give addresses at the opening ceremony.
Leaders of relative state ministry and departments, Governors, Chairman and Chief Executives of the '9+2' provinces and regions as well as representatives of Hong Kong economic sector will also deliver speeches during today's forum.
