Bright future of cooperation expected in PPRD

Guangdong Province planned Pan-Pearl River Delta based on discussion in 2003 according to the policy of regional economic development advanced by central government, which is actively responded by all sides concerning.

Fujian:
Huang Xiaojing, Deputy Secretary of Fujian Province and Vice Governor of Fujian Province says Fujian is longing to speedup its economic development through the interaction of the PPRD regions.

Jiangxi:
According to Wu Xinxiong, Deputy Secretary of the CPC Committee of Jiangxi Province and Vice Governor of Jiangxi Province, the forming of Pan-PRD helps Jiangxi bring its advantages in natural resources and production costs into full play and expand the development spaces and see increase in employment rate of the province. Through it, Jiangxi can also receive the industrial transfer from and the economic radiation of the coastal cities more directly and actively.

Hunan:
Yang Zhengwu, Secretary of the CPC Committee of Hunan Province expresses that the Pan-Pearl River Delta assumption meets the demand of the PRD economic integration and broadening. It also indicates the strong wish of the PRD rim provinces and regions as well as the central and western regions of China to receive the economic radiation of Guangdong Province, Hong Kong SAR and Macao SAR. Hunan, at the geographic heart of the region, will take transportation construction, logistics development and industrial collaboration as its most important strategies in this regional cooperation.

Guangxi:
Cao Bochun, Secretary of the CPC Committee of Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region points out that the promotion of Pan-PRD regional cooperation benefits all sides in the region. It is in line with the "Regional Coordinated Development" spirit and the "Scientific Perception for Development" advanced by central government. Guangxi will actively participate in the cooperation of the Pan-PRD.

Hainan:
According to Wei Liucheng, Deputy Secretary of the CPC Committee and Governor of Hainan Province, the Pan-PRD, involving provinces/regions in the west, middle, east of China as well as the HK SAR and Macao SAR, is a region with unique advantages in China's economic development. Pan-PRD creates a condition for Hainan Province to speedup its development within the regional cooperation. The cooperation and exploitation of tourism is the keystone and highlight of Hainan in this "9+2" cooperation.

Sichuan:
Zhang Zhongwei, Deputy Secretary of the CPC Committee of Sichuan Province and Governor of Sichuan Province points out that complementary to Guangdong's advantages in aspects like capital, management and technology, Sichuan has advantages in resources, markets, science and technology, labors, etc., all of which indicate a great cooperation potential and a bright cooperation future existing between the two provinces.

Guizhou:
Accoding to Shi Xiushi, Deputy Secretary of the CPC Committee of Guizhou Province and Governor of Guizhou Province, Guangdong and Guizhou are complementary to each other in resources. Guizhou needs to cooperate with Guangdong in technology, management and capitals the most. Pan-PRD is to promote its resource exploitation, deep processing industries and production exchanges in its all-round trade cooperation relationship with Guangdong.

Yunnan:
Mao Yiqiang, Vice Director of the Office of Economic Cooperation of Yunnan Province believes that under the promotion of PPRD, the cooperation between Yunnan and Guangdong will see a more satisfactory future with integration of the abundant capital, management and human resources in Guangdong and the rich tourism resources in Yunnan.

Hong Kong SAR and Macao SAR:
Tung Chee Hwa, Chief Executive of the Hong Kong SAR and Edmund Ho Hau Wah, Chief Executive of the MSAR, actively call for participation in the Pan-PRD Economic Circle during the Second Session of the Tenth National People's Congress (NPC) held this year. Tung Chee Hwa expresses that the economic cooperation and development of PPRD, greatly expanding the economic hinterland of Hong Kong, is significant in aspects as logistics, investments, professional services and tourism in Hong Kong.
