General information

Jiangxi lies in the lower middle reaches of the south flank of the Yangtze River, over-looking the Dageng Mountain ranges and the Jiulian Mountain of the Guangdong Province in the south, adjoining the Luoxiao Mountain of the Hunan Province in the west, with the Wuyi Mountain neighboring the Fujian Province.  Since Jiangxi was under the charge of the Jiangnanxi administration area in the Tang Dynasty, people took the abbreviation of the “Jiangnanxi administration” and then called it Jiangxi.
