Sarah Brightman, one of the world's best opera soprano, will give a concert at Guangzhou's Tianhe Gymnasium in July 6th, which is considered to be one of the most anticipative cultural events in Guangzhou this year.
Sarah's stop in Guangzhou has been listed among one of Guangzhou's Asiad bid promotion events, she herself also expressed her willingness to cheer for Guangzhou's bid for the Asian Games.
Reputedly ranked with three other great tenors for classical music -- Luciano Panotti, Jose Carreras, Placido Domingo -- as the great soprano, Brightman always fascinate the music lovers not only with her heavenly soundtrack, but also with her multi-dimensional talent, as well as her penchant for fusing musical genres.
The recital by Brightman in Guangzhou is part of her world tour 'Harem', also the name for her latest album, which is poised to be Sarah's most creative album with most personal style yet, and a fantastic musical journey based on the Middle Eastern legend.
One novelty about this concert is that the design of the stage looks like a cat-walk show arena, so that Sarah will have a chance to communicate with the audiences in a closer distance.
