Korean Olympic Committee announced yesterday (March 24th) that Seoul have decided to quit 2010 Asian game bidding, which greatly increases the chance for Guangzhou to win the bid.
In a letter to Olympic Council of Asia (OCA) at March 24, Korean Olympic Committee asked to withdraw their bid application for the Games filed at December last year.
The quirk left only China's Guangzhou, Malaysia's Kuala Lumpur and Jordan's Amman in the competition.
According to Korean officials with the sports administration, there is still no need for Korea to bid for the Games just shortly after the 2002 Asian Games hosted by Pusan, Korea.
Officials with the Guangzhou Municipality said that Guangzhou respects Seoul's decision.
The bid result will be revealed by OCA at July.
