The Yantan Port, located next to Dapeng Bay in Shenzhen, started construction in 1992. The port faces Kowloon, Hong Kong across the sea and is connected to 9 inland provinces. It has a well-developed highway seaway network. It has now been constructed in to a modern large international deep-water port and a main distribution port of containers coming from south China area.
