Sun Yat-sen University, a famous University in Guangzhou
Thanks to the reform and opening up, Guangdong's higher education saw rapid development. By the year 2005, students in Guangdong universities and colleges will increase to 800 thousands (470 thousands at present). The enrollment rate will exceed 20%, while the number of higher education schools will rise to 85 (71 at present).
