The annual national college entrance exam is always hot topics in China in June. This year, 553,000 Guangdong students are taking the exam from June 7 - 9.

Guangdong province had prepared a total of 462 sites and 18,460 rooms for these students. The Department of Education, in cooperation with the Department of Police, Electricity, Transportation and Weather, had worked out a detailed emergency plan for the exam. Even the weather gives the students a hand -- the rainstorms swept away the summer heat temporary without causing any students-related accidents in the past two exam days.

And the rains do not stop the parents from waiting for hours outside the schools just to share their children's laughter and tears after the exams.
