Paris Saxophone Quartet will perform in Zhongshan and Foshan, city of South China Guangdong Province from Nov 4 to Nov 5.
The 4 high-leveled soloists who performed wind-up in Europe, Africa, Middle East, and America once won the first prize at Martigny (Switzerland) International Competition. The band is to offer Cello Concerto in F Major of Antonio Vivaldi, Pedestrian Bridge, and Greek Suite, etc.
About the musicians
Daniel LIGER Founder of the Paris Saxophone Quartet, he regularly performs with the Orchestre Symphonique et Lyrique de Tours, as well as in saxophone and organ duos. He teaches in the National Conservatory of the Tours Region.
Francis CAUMONT A member of the Paris Saxophone Quartet since 1977, he has performed in numerous concerts with the Pasdeloup Orchestra, the Orchestra of the Capitole de Toulouse, the Paris Orchestral Ensemble and the Europe Orchestra, as well as the Paris Opéra Orchestra.
Alain JOUSSET Co-founder of the Paris Saxophone Quartet and tutor of Paris Centre Conservatory, he is regularly invited by the Orchestre Philharmonique de Radio France, the Monte Carlo Philharmonic, the Ensemble Intercontemporain, the Orchestre de Paris, the Toulouse Chamber Orchestra and the Opéra-Bastille Orchestra.
Philippe DUCHESNE He played and recorded with numerous jazz personalities—Dee Dee Bridgewater, Johnny Griffin, Michel Legrand, Michel Petrucciani, Phil Woods, the Grand Orchestre du Splendid—and performed at several jazz festivals (Nice, Antibes, Juan-les-Pins, Marciac, La Villette). He is the saxophonist, composer and arranger of the Zouk Machine group and has performed in several concerts with the Orchestre de Paris, the Orchestre National de Radio France and the Ensemble Intercontemporain.
