The Flame of the Doha 2006 Asian Games will arrive in Guangzhou Tomorrow, Tuesday 24 October, as part of its 50,000 kilometers journey around Asia in the lead up to the 15th Asian Games to be held 1-15 December 2006 in Doha, Qatar. |

| The Doha 2006 Torch Relay will spend 55 days traveling more than 50, 000kilometers visiting 15 countries and regions in Asia. The Relay culminates with the lighting of the Caudron at Khalifa Stadium in Doha on December 1 at the opening of the 15th Asian Games. Doha 2006 Asian Games Torch Relay will be the longest in Asian Games History. |

| The Doha 2006 Torch design is aesthetically modest, elegantly simple and functionally light. 1.3 kilograms and 720 millimeters tall, the Torch was inspired by the curve of horns of the Arabian Oryx, (the national animal which also inspired the Games mascot), the colors of the Qatari white and maroon flag, the country's bright heritage and the shining future. |
