The new Baiyun International Airport finished a second test this morning, which was based on the last one and included many operations that are more complicated. It was a simulation check on the facilities: an increased number of passengers and flights were scheduled, and more participants, including the airport, airlines, air control authorities, customs, police and security were all involved. In today's operation, an Airbus 320 departed from the old airport and landed at the new location, simulating flights CZ005 and CZ006. Passengers on this airplane were the first to arrive at or depart from the new airport. There were 49 flights scheduled for today's operation, twice the number of the last test. International and domestic flights, especially transit procedures, were tested. 4,200 passengers participated today, including VIP passengers and 25 handicapped passengers who tested the operation of special services at the new airport.
