Southern Airlines will launch direct service of Guangzhou - Nepal - Katmandu flights on February 5th, 2007. This is currently the first direct route to Nepal from Guangzhou. Southern Airlines also plans to open the routes from Guangzhou to Dubai (the United Arab Republic) and from Guangzhou to Delhi (India) on March 26th and September 9th, 2007, respectively.
The Guangzhou- Nepal - Katmandu flights, using a Boeing 757 airliner, are set to take off at 8 p.m. every Monday and Friday and arrive at 10:45 p.m. local time. The return flights depart at 11:45 p.m. on Monday and Friday and arrive at 06:30 a.m. local time the next day.
