Visitors can make a trip to Nankun Mountain in Longmen County, covered with lush green bamboo and a great place for a summer getaway. Also worth some time, is a hot spring bath at the Tangquan (Hot Spring) Hotel at the foot of Baishui Mountain on the way back to Huizhou.
The spring water, at a temperature of 70C, bubbles to the surface all year round and contains many of elements good for health. Su Dongpo, a poet living 1000 years ago had visited and bathed in the spring three times, giving it extra prestige.
The water is drawn directly into the Tangquan Hot Spring Hotel so guests can soak in the natural water in their own bathtub. You will likely find yourself feeling the same way Su Dongpo did when he wrote, "All cloudy moods have been washed away" after taking a bath in this hot spring.
