The Southern Metropolis Daily quoted the Chinese Export Commodities Fair Secretary General Hu Chusheng as saying; the entire canton fair will be moved into the Pazhou Complex in 2008 if the third phase of Pazhou Complex can be completed by the end of 2007.

Hu announced that the second phase of Pazhou Complex has begun construction and is expected to be finished by the end of this year. The initial project of the third phase of Pazhou Complex plans to include 4,000 booths and an office building facilitating 40 floors.

Once the third phase is completed, the whole Pazhou Complex will cover 800,000 square meters and offer 17,500 booths for each period. Hu also said that this year's canton fair will resume the opening ceremony. In addition, a meeting will be held and a book will be launched to mark the fair's100th anniversary.
