The 94th Canton Fair (Phrase II) held in the new Pazhou exposition center experienced 22,568 overseas purchasers on its first day (October 25th), with the total number of purchasers up to 129,000 so far.
Up to October 25th, 114,163 overseas buyers attended the fair. Among them, 17,685 are from Europe, 73,133 from Asia and 11,940 from America.
The number of purchasers is to greatly surpass that of the 93th session, up to 150,000, forecasted Hu Chusheng, secretary-general of the fair.
Since the Phrase II of the fair, private enterprises from Guangdong delegation strikes a bargain of 209,836 USD.
Statistics indicate that the total volume of export in Guangdong reaches 3.161 billion USD, with the volume of Guangdong delegation up to 1.836 billion USD, Guangzhou delegation up to 434 million USD, Zhuhai delegation up to 242 million USD, Shantou delegation up to 75 million USD and Shenzhen delegation up to 574 million USD.
The volume of the mechanical and electronic products reaches 2.364 billion USD, accounting for 74.8 percent of the total, while the volume of textile products is up to 386 million USD, accounting for 12.2 percent of the total.
