The 94th Canton Fair greets a delegation of over 200 trade ministers and representatives from seven Portuguese-speaking countries on the first day of exhibition (October 15th).
Carlos Morgado, trade minister of Mozambique, told reporter that during the rather short one-hour visit, he had been deeply impressed by the wide range of product categories in the fair. Time permitted, he would like to dig deeper into the fair.
The ministers of the countries express their hope for promoting economic cooperation with China. It is reported that these countries are mostly interested in the hi-tech products, mini home appliances and machine tools.
They also welcome Chinese enterprises to invest in their countries in aspects as agriculture, mining resource, fishery and basic constructions.
With abundant natural resources and great potential of further development, the Portuguese-speaking countries will become important partners of China.
