Pearl River Delta (PRD) is located in the lower middle part of Guangdong Province, stretching from Gaoyao in the west to Huizhou in the east and from Qingyuan in the north to Yamen in the deep south. It covers an area of 41,700 sq km and encompasses several major cities including Guangzhou, Shenzhen, Zhuhai, Dongguan, Foshan, Zhongshan, Huizhou, Jiangmen, Zhaoqing, and Qingyuan; and more than 30 county units and 100 townships. It is an economic zone specified by Guangdong Province.
