Democratic People's Republic of Korea (DPRK) became winner of the FIFA Under-20 Women's World Championship 2006 by beating China in the final on Sunday(Sep 3rd).

Dreadful weather witnessed the incredible 5-0 win by the DPR Koreans for playing the conditions infinitely better than their Asian rivals at Moscow's Lokomotiv stadium.

Brazil was third on beating the United States 6-5 on spot kicks after drawing 0-0 in regulation.

China's team leader Ma Xiaoxu won Golden Shoe and Golden Ball awards as the tournament's top goalscorer by five goals and two assists and best player of the competition.

Zhang Yanru, China's goalkeeper, won the Silver Ball Award. The Bronze Ball went to Danesha Adams of the United States.

DPRK's No. 7, Kim Song Hui, got the Silver Shoe by five goals and one assist with three in the final. And the Bronze Shoe went to Germany's Anna Blaesse.
