The Chinese national soccer squad crushed Thai under-23 national team 4-0 here on Thursday night in a soccer friendly.
In the warmup before the crucial Asian Cup qualifier against Singapore in the same venue on August 16, the Chinese team dominated the match from the very beginning and opened the score only four minutes into the game through Chinese Super League top scorer Li Jinyu.
The Thai players, most amateurs, played actively but could not pose enough threats on the more stronger Chinese men. Furthermore, Thai playmaker Da Tesakun was fouled out in the 52nd minute.
Later, China's Wang Dong, Du Zhengyu and Xu Liang scored in 63rd, 73rd and 76th minute respectively.
China's coach Zhu Guanghu said after the match that it was just a warmup and that he was satisfied with the result.
Zhu also said that his team could play better in the midfield.
"Today's game will help the Chinese team play their best in the duel against Singapore," he added.
