On December 20, the Tourism Administration of Liwan district announced that the eight new attractive places of the district were selected from over 170,000 votes.

The eight new attractive places are: Chen's academy of classical learning, Bai'e Pond area (including Bai'e Pond, Shamian Island, the pub street near Bai'e Pond, and Xinyi International Club), Wong Tai Sin Temple, Shangxiajiu Commercial Street, Liwan Lake area (Including Liwan Lake Park, Liwan Museum, Renwei Temple, Xiguan Artwork Center, and Xiguan Antique Market), Hualin Temple, Guangzhou Flower and Plant Exhibition Garden, Pantang restaurant area (Pantang Restaurant and nearby traditional restaurants).
