According to Information Times, a local daily newspaper, the bicycle shops doubled in the last two weeks and their sales are booming. Office employees, goods & mail transporters and students are main consumers.

A bicycle shop owner in Haizhu District, surnamed Huang, said there used to be 3 bicycle shops on his street, but now there are 7. Since the compete is fierce, he does not raise the price. Since December, he sold more than 10 bicycles every day, and in the past week, more than 20 per day. He believed the boom will continue.
