Authorized by the municipal government and jointly arranged by the Alianz Group and the Guangzhou Sports Bureau, the test drive of Williams F1 went smoothly at the Pear River New City (Zhu Jiang Xing Chen). Nico Rosberg, the youngest driver of this veteran formula racing team, accomplished six circuits along a street about three kilometers long, in his Formula One car.

Such a test drive is the first in China. Before it, Vice Mayor Xu Ruisheng and Liu Jiangnan, Director General of the Guangzhou Sports Bureau, met with Nico Rosberg, his colleagues and officials of the Alianz Group. During the meeting, a tail of a racing car with the signature of Nico Rosberg on it was given by the Alianz Group and the Williams F1 as a gift to the Guangzhou municipal government. In return, Xu Ruisheng, on behalf of the municipal government, gave them a sculpture of Five Rams, the symbol of Guangzhou.
