German player Timo Boll to participate in the tournament
The 2006 China Table Tennis Grand Prix's lot drawing ceremony was held at the China Hotel in Guangzhou yesterday afternoon (Sept. 13). Now the games are ready to begin in Guangzhou Tianhe Stadium today. The four-day event is a major part of the International Table Tennis Federation (ITTF) standings. The competition attracts the top 16 players in ITTF's ranking chart, including Wang Liqin and Zhang Yining from China. About 160 world-class table tennis players from more than 10 countries will participate in the tournament. They will compete in six categories of men's singles, women's singles, men's doubles, women's doubles and men's and women's singles under 21 years old.
