George E. Killian, president of the International University Sports Federation (FISU), receives a bouquet of flowers from a student at the Wuzhou Guest House in Shenzhen yesterday. Killian and his wife arrived in the city yesterday evening for a five-day tour of Shenzhen and Guangzhou. Shenzhen has made a bid to host the 26th Summer Universiade in 2011.

Shenzhen submits Universiade bid TOP Guangdong and Shenzhen officials submitted Shenzhen's application to host the 26th Universiade to the International University Sports Federation (FISU) in Brussels, Belgium, on June 28.
