Zongzi 'football' proves quite a draw

A huge football-shaped zongzi made by local university students is proving to be an attraction in Guangzhou, Guangzhou Daily reported.

Students stand beside the massive football-shaped zongzi.

Exhibited on the football pitch of Guangzhou Higher Education mega, the special zongzi has a diameter of more than a metre. It weighs more than 50 kilograms.

The massive dumpling of glutinous rice, contains pork, black soybeans and green beans.

Its makers said they wanted to combine the elements of the traditional Chinese Dragon Boat Festival with the upcoming World Cup.
