"It is a boy!"

When a doctor showed Ms Ling her just-born child, she was too weak to say a word. This liver-cancer mum gave birth to a 1520g boy by caesarean after a 29-week pregnancy yesterday.

Ms Ling did not leave the operation table after the birth of her child, instead, her second operation in the same day began within one hour. After a six-hour operation, she had her cancer-striken right liver cut. The tumor was 24cm*19.5cm!

Ms Ling experienced the best time and the worst time of her life in the year 2005: She got married on February 27th and found herself pregnant two months later. In October, her backache worsened and she was diagnosed with late-stage primary liver center. Ms Ling decided to spare no effort and even risk her own life to save her baby. And she did it!

The operations yesterday were finished by doctors from the First Affiliated Hospital of Sun Yat-sen University.
