Sand sculpture contest in Haikou

Artists are busy polishing sand sculptures during a sand sculpture contest in Haikou, south China's Hainan Province on November 16. Sand sculpture artists from seven countries including China, the United States, Spain, Singapore are competing in the event.

A woman artist from Spain makes the final touches on the sand sculpture.

A Chinese artist makes the finishing touches on the sand sculpture reflecting China's first astronaut Yang Liwei.

Brother artists of China polish the sand sculpture with Madame Xian in China's ancient history as its theme.
