Officials (L) of the municipal government present plaques to private company representatives to certify that they have set up Communist Party branches inside their companies in Guangzhou, the capital of China's Guangdong province, December 10, 2002.
The Chinese Communist Party has written President Jiang Zemin 's 'Three Represents' political ideology into its constitution broadening the party's political power base of workers and peasants to allow private entrepreneurs and other social strata to join, referring to them as 'advanced productive forces'.
 Private company representatives receive plaques which certify CPC branches have been set up.
