Daniel Craig, the new James Bond, threw all old Bonds away and vowed to be the "baddest" James Bond in the history of 007 series, according to Entertainment Weekly on Thursday.
"I watched every single Bond movie three or four times, taking in everything I could about how the character had been portrayed in the past, then threw all that away once I started doing the role," Craig said.
The blonde Munich star is the sixth actor to play 007, following in the footsteps of Sean Connery, George Lazenby, Roger Moore, Timothy Dalton and Pierce Brosnan.
Craig revisits Bond's beginnings as a secret agent in upcoming movie Casino Royale, which slated for release Nov. 17.
"There's no point in making this movie unless it's different. It'd be a waste of time unless we took Bond to a place he'd never been before."
"He is an assassin," said Craig.
Even though Craig does his best to act in the movie, there are a lot of fans who hate him.
A group of James Bond fans have launched a Web site to protest Craig replacing Pierce Brosnan in the 007 film franchise, and to boycott Casino Royale.
