Katie Holmes' parents may skip their daughter's wedding event because they are not happy with Katie's choice of where to marry, according to to Life & Style Weekly report.
Life & Style Weekly claims that Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes will finally tie the knot later this month or in August in a Scientology ceremony to be performed by church leader David Miscavige.
Martin Holmes allegedly told the magazine source, "Katie can have a proper Catholic wedding her whole family will gladly be a part of," but he and his wife are "not happy" with Scientology ceremony their daughter has planned with Cruise. They feel Katie's "choice of where to marry" (i.e., outside of a Catholic church) is inappropriate.
Katie Holmes initially wanted a Catholic wedding, but "realized she'd never win the argument about having a Catholic wedding," a Holmes family friend reportedly told the magazine.
"She knows that if she had rejected Scientology, her relationship with Tom could have ended." And, at this point, the soon-to-be bride "has become a big part of the church. She is into it in a big way."
