The Pretty Woman, who took time off from her day job to raise her year-old twins, Hazel and Phinnaeus, has signed on to be the new face of celebrated Italian fashion designer Gianfranco Ferre's new promotional campaign.
Per the terms of the deal, the fashion powerhouse will splash the 38-year-old Julia Roberts across magazine ads around the globe (with the sole exception of the United States), beginning in February.
The designer opted to forego traditional models and tapped Roberts, one of the world's most famous leading ladies who's no stranger to couture, having posed for countless magazine covers throughout her career and having starred in the Robert Altman fashion world satire "Ready to Wear."
"What enchants me most are her presence and manner, her way of being energetic and calm at the same time and her naturally aristocratic self-possession," Ferre said. "I adore her vitality, her natural ease, and her free spirit. Everything about her makes her the authentic Ferre woman."
Roberts' last big-screen turn was in 2004's "Ocean's Twelve," but that didn't keep her from topping the annual list of Hollywood's highest paid actresses for the second straight year.
