Fish and shrimp fry released
Latest Updated by 2006-05-24 10:20:29

Volunteers release fish and shrimp fry into the sea at Shekou yesterday (May 23).

Twelve volunteers and officials with the city's fishery authorities released 5 million shrimp and 720,000 fish fry into the water to replenish fish stocks.

Experts said the action could improve fishing resources and arouse public concern for environmental protection. More fish fry will be released in the Daya Bay, Dapeng Bay and Pearl River Delta mouth next month.
