The Fit Saloon is being manufactured at Guangzhou Honda, and will go on sale late this month at a price of around 12,000 to 13,000 US dollars.
It will be Honda's third locally produced model in China, and is marketed in Japan as the Fit Aria.
Honda currently produces the "Accord" midsize sedan and the "Odyssey" minivan at its Guangzhou plant.
