A South Korean delegation arrived in Pyongyang Tuesday afternoon to resume the frozen inter-Korean ministerial meetings.
The delegation, led by South Korean Unification Minister Lee Jae-joung, was greeted by officials of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea (DPRK) at the airport.
The 20th inter-Korean ministerial meeting is the first set of high-level talks between South Korea and the DPRK since the DPRK launched nuclear tests last October.
The 19th inter-Korean ministerial meeting was held last July, soon after the DPRK test-fired a series of missiles, and ended without agreement.
During the four-day talks, the two sides are expected to discuss such issues as continuously implementing the North-South Joint Declaration signed in June 2000, enhancing inter-Korean cooperation as well as improving bilateral relations.
