
Guangdong business delegation has bagged contracts worth 138.4 billion RMB in the 4th Pan-Pearl River Delta (PPRD) Forum & Economic and Trade Cooperation Fair, which concluded yesterday in Changsha, capital of Hunan province.
The nine regions in southern China, Hong Kong and Macao has signed 1254 contracts with a total value of 337.6 billion RMB, according to the organizer of the Economic and Trade Cooperation Fair.
But the actual yielding may be far more than that, for according to an official from Guangdong delegation, only 30 billion deals sealed by Guangdong delegation were counted in the fair's total, and the deals inked after the contract-signing ceremony were not counted.
Statistics show that the contracts on manufacturing projects accounted for 56.4% of the total. 233 projects are industry transfer within the region. Besides, service industry cooperation took up 10 .1 percent of the contracts signed.
A large group of the private companies joined in Guangdong business delegation and contribute 1/3 of the total contracts signed.
According to Nanfang Daily, Guangdong's famous products, such as Pearl River piano, attracted lots of purchasers in the Fair.
