Chinese Premier Wen Jiabao is holding a press conference in the Great Hall of the People in downtown Beijing shortly after the conclusion of the annual full session of the Chinese parliament on Friday morning.

The press conference, a once-every-year routine for the Chinese head of government, has attracted around 700 Chinese and foreign journalists.

China endorses and honors international environmental obligations

China endorses the Kyoto Protocol and honors international environmental obligations to curb global warming, said Chinese Premier Wen Jiabao on Friday.

Wen made the remark at a press conference after the annual session of the Tenth National People's Congress (NPC) was closed.

China aims at mature capital market

Chinese Premier Wen Jiabao said Friday that China aims at a mature capital market.

"Our goal is very clear. The goal is to build a mature capital market," Wen said at a press conference following the conclusion of the annual session of the National People's Congress (NPC), China's top legislature.
