A press conference held on June 18th announced that the first Nan Sha Litchi Festival will kick off on June 21st. The festival will last for ten days, with plenty of litchis available at 7 large markets and with 14 large orchards for visitors to enjoy. Meanwhile, eight tourist sites are open to visitors free of charge. Ten thousand route maps will be delivered to citizens to help them easily find festival tourist sites.

In total 50 litchi orchards will be open to visitors, where, after paying entrance fee, they can pick litchis or buy litchis according to the market price. They can also negotiate with the orchard owner on a price to buy all litchis on a tree.
