In order for the passengers of international flights to pass through customs as quickly as possible, Baiyun Border Checkpoint and Nanfang Airlines signed an agreement on May 15, putting forth four new measures.
The departure registration card, which was once available only on reaching the border checkpoint, will be distributed in advance of the actual counter where check-in procedures are settled. Passengers can fill in the departure information ahead of time without queuing up at the border checkpoint, saving time when passing through customs.
Baiyun Border Checkpoint has made a commitment that, under normal conditions the time for checking through a Hongkong or Macao citizen will not exceed 15 minutes and that for other passengers it will not exceed 45 minutes.
In the event that a long queue lines build up, the border checkpoint will guarantee that passengers in the queue will pass through the security check within 25 minutes.
If Baiyun Airport transfer passengers whose previous and subsequent flights are both on Nanfang Airways and the passenger feels that his/her time is pressing, Nanfang Airways will send security inspectors to the site of transfer to facilitate check-in procedures for them.
