Guangdong, with a two-year effort, cleared pirated software out of its governmental offices. This year the province will start to "clean" the enterprises' computers.
Guangdong government has formed a team with eight provincial departments, which will be dedicated to stop the enterprises within the province using pirated software.
The "clean" work will start with state-own enterprises, foreign-funded companies and large private-own enterprises. SMEs will be in phase II. There will be no mandatory time table for the enterprises, but the governmental team will release a blacklist of enterprises refusing to stop using pirated software to the public at the end of the year and proper legal actions will be taken.
After the campaign is launched, many enterprises give positive response and contact with the Provincial IPR Bureau for more information and help.
