On April 3rd, a meeting was held by the OCA Coordination Committee and the Guangzhou Asian Games Organizing Committee at the Garden Hotel. Yu Zaiqing, Deputy Director of the State General Administration of Sport and Vice President of the Chinese Olympic Committee, and Xu Ruisheng, Vice Mayor of Guangzhou and Deputy Secretary-General of the 16th Asian Games Organizing Committee attended the meeting.

Gu Shiyang, Deputy Secretary General of the Guangzhou municipal government and Deputy Secretary General of the 16th Asian Games Organizing Committee, briefed on the preparations for the Asian Games. The two committees thoroughly discussed issues regarding the overall work on the Asian Games, events setting, information technology, the main media center, Asian Games venues, the OCA headquarter hotel, the Asian Games Village, transportation, medical services, anti-doping issues and concierge services and reached a consensus on other related issues.

OCA Secretary-General Raja Randhir Singh, OCA Coordination Committee Chairman Tsunekazu Takeda, OCA Vice Chairman Xiao Weili, OCA Director-General Hussein Al-Musallam, OCA Sports Committee Chairman Wei Jizhong and other OCA officials attended the meeting.
