On March 20th it was learned from a spokesperson for China's General Administration of Civil Aviation (CAAC) that there would be a tight ban on the amount of liquids that passengers would be allowed to carry in their hand-luggage as May 1.
This is the newest measure adopted by CAAC to ensure the absolute safety of passengers and flights. The regulations would be applied to national flights provided by domestic airline carriers. According to the regulation, passengers would be allowed to bring a maximum of one litre of liquid (alcohol is strictly banned).
Passengers will have to leave the extra items in their check-in luggage or dispose of them at security checks. All bottles and containers must be opened for inspection before boarding the aircraft.
