The Forbes website recently listed the "world's 10 largest shopping malls", based on "Gross Leasable Area". The Grandview Mall of Guangzhou, with a gross leasable area of 300,000 square meters and a total area of 420,000 square meters, was on the list. Asia is home to eight of the world's 10 largest malls, six of which were built in the last three years. The Grandview Mall is the only listed mall of Guangzhou city.

"The orientation, management and attractions to consumers are more important to a mall than its size." said Liang Lan, Vice Director of the Marketing division of the Grandview Mall. The Grandview Mall has a good reputation for excellent management.

The Grandview Mall, located near to Teemall, opened on January 15, 2005. At present, over 90% of its area has been leased, and over 90% of leasers are international and domestic chain shops. It receives 250,000 to 400,000 visitors on working days and over one million visitors during weekends and "Golden Weeks".
