The flight schedule for Spring Festival charter flights across the Taiwan Strait this year (2007) has been confirmed officially. The airlines across the strait will fly 16 total round trips to and from Guangzhou. The China Southern Airlines Company Limited will take the flight task on the side of Mainland, China. According to the Southern Airlines, the ticket price of this year goes up a little bit more than last year due to the rising fuel prices and other factors.

There are only two round-trip Spring Festival charter flights between Kaohsiung and Guangzhou and the rest are between Taipei and Guangzhou. There will be 8 flights before the Spring Festival on February 13, 15 and 16 respectively and 8 after on February 22, 23, 24 and 25 respectively.

According to the Sales Department of Southern Airlines, the tickets for Spring Festival charter flights are very popular,  over 90 percent of the tickets for the 8 flights on February 15, 16, 23 and 24 have already been sold. The Southern Airlines specially opened ticket offices in Shenzhen for the first time this year, adopting a multi-way sales pattern. The China Taiwanese across the country can take the Southern Airlines flights to Guangzhou and then proceed to Taiwan.
