Another one of Guangzhou's well-known old restaurants, Beiyuan Restaurant, put up the shutters yesterday (Jan. 4).
In recent years, some of the restaurants with a long history have suspended business, like Nanyuan, Lianxianglou and Taotaoju. They usually resumed operation after the input of private investment and renovation.
